Hey AGSI Family,
I hope this email finds you doing really well and enjoying the fall weather. I don’t follow the national weather but here in Idaho it has been perfect. I do know that it’s been hot in the south. I’m heading to Tucson, AZ on Thursday this week for out first ever Teacher Training and just heard today that it will be in the 90’s.
I better remember to pack my shorts. That is a perfect lead in! Yes it is our first ever Teacher Training and the accomplishment of one of our biggest goals here at AGSI which is to train the next generation of teachers to carry on Dr. Rolf’s vision of Structural Integration. I can’t wait to get there and meet all of our practitioners who are so committed to this work.
Basic Training
Tucson, Arizona Jan 22 – March 14, 2024
Another big announcement is that our very first Basic Training is starting on Jan 22, 2024 and will be taught by David Davis in Tucson, AZ. This is another landmark event for us. David has been teaching Basic Training since 1990 and has taught with Peter Melchior, Emmet Hutchins and Stacy Mills, legends in our field and original teachers with Dr. Rolf. As we have been preparing for the Teacher Training David has repeatedly pulled out notebooks to quote from Peter, Emmet and Stacy. Our history is very rich and we are trying to bring our legacy into the future. Referrals from practitioners like you is our best source of students for everyone’s success. We have our website and work hard to advertise on Facebook and other social media but really, when it comes down to it, most of our students will be referred by their practitioner that took them through their life changing 10 Series experience. That is just what we do, change lives through this inspiring work. We know that there are also hopeful students that have for one reason or another stopped part way through their training and are looking for a new home to finish. If you know anyone in this circumstance send them our way and we will do our best to work with them.

Embodiment and Evolutionary Transformation Through the Line
Montezuma, Costa Rica Dec 03 – Dec 09, 2023
Long time teachers and Practitioners David Davis and Will Johnson will be teaming up to teach a workshop combining Sitting Meditation Practice and Structural Integration in the beautiful costal town of Montezuma, Costa Rica. Montezuma is the perfect setting for this special workshop. David and Will have been developing this workshop for years. These long time friends both studied Structural Integration together in the 70’s and have been committed to Dr. Rolfs vision ever since. David has taught SI Trainings and Workshops since 1990 and Will has written 13 books on meditation and has been leading meditation retreats and workshops for decades. The morning sessions of the workshop will be about learning and practicing meditation and the afternoons will be about SI. In the afternoon sessions David will teach a Structural Integration workshop focusing on working with the line on the table and in a seated position. Both David and Will believe that Dr. Rolfs vision of her work included the transformational potential of discovering and living with your line. Here is the link on our website:
Pre & Perinatal Education (PPE)
Crestone, CO Oct 30 – Nov 02, 2023
We also still have several openings in our first Pre & Perinatal Education workshop we are offering Oct 30 – Nov 2 in Crestone, CO. The workshop is being taught by Buddy Frank. Our deep patterns are often caused by experiences we have during the birthing process. This course will explore the four stages of birth, each of which is marked by specific postures/positions and movements that babies transition through during birth. Patterns you have long seen in client’s bodies are revealed to be the deeply embedded fixations arising from specific stages of birth where difficulty and trauma were encountered. Recognizing patterns offers the basis for facilitating the resolution of these patterns within the context of the Ten Series, or post-Ten/advanced work. PPE is an awesome combination of developing knowledge of the cause and resolution of deep structural patterns that we see in our clients every day and the personal growth of freeing ourselves of those same patterns. Being freed of these patterns provides both tremendous physical, mental and emotional release allowing the practitioner to be more present with their client’s experience.
