Dear Fellow Practitioners,

We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We are excited to announce an upcoming opportunity that promises to deepen your understanding and expand your toolbox in the field of structural integration.

Pre and Perinatal Education: Freeing the Core

In this workshop, we will delve into the critical phases of pre and perinatal development and explore how it influences emotional and structural patterns and movement in our clients and ourselves. Led by Buddy Frank, this event promises to be a transformative experience for practitioners.

Our theme in this introductory course will be the four stages of birth, each of which is marked by specific postures/positions and movements that babies transition through during birth. Through our in-class exploration, you will learn to recognize these patterns in yourself, and most importantly, in your clients. Patterns you have long seen in people’s bodies are revealed to be the deeply embedded fixations arising from specific stages of birth where difficulty and trauma were encountered. As a practitioner, being able to recognize the origin of a structural pattern offers the basis for facilitating the resolution of these patterns within the context of the Ten Series, or post-Ten/advanced work.

I had a chance to talk to our colleague Bill Green of Houston, Texas about the influence and impact the Pre & Perinatal Education has had on him and his practice. Here are a couple of short videos from that conversation. They are each only a minute long.
